biography of Antoine de La Boulaye

Antoine de La Boulaye was born in Paris in 1951. Exhibitions soon followed his studies at the Académie Julian. In 1970 he completely opted for painting. De La Boulaye became known to the general public when he was commissioned in 1984 by President Francois Mitterrand to paint two canvases that were given to the English Queen Elizabeth. The work of the impressionists Degas and Henri de Toulouse Lautrec is a source of inspiration for the painter.
