biography of Paul Hugo ten Hoopen

Paul Hugo ten Hoopen, born in 1927 in Doetinchem, has become known as a painter and writer. His appealing landscapes and interiors originated mainly in France and Switzerland and are characterized by a simple but brightly coloured palette. From 1969-1992 Ten Hoopen was a professor at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. His work is included in the collections of Museum Henriëtte Polak Zutphen and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, among others
