biography of Wilhelmine Christine Gerardine Booms

Wilhelmine Booms is part of the group of floral painters from the second half of the 19th century who took a new course with their flower still lifes. No more stiff arranged flower bouquets, but natural compositions of flowers in a basket or laid out on the forest ground. Also flowering branches arranged in combination with wild flowers. The painter lived and worked all her life in The Hague.
