Adrienne Klinkhamer was born in Amsterdam in 1876. She was a student at the School of Applied Arts in Haarlem and the Academy in The Hague. Later she married the painter A.M. Broeckman. During her life, the artist lived and worked in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Laren and Santpoort. In addition to paintings and watercolours, her oeuvre consists of drawings and etchings, in particular of flowers, still lifes and figures. She was a member of 'Arti et Amicitiae' and 'St.Lucas' in Amsterdam and of the Laren association 'Club de 10'.
