The Finnish sculptress Maija Nuotio is mainly inspired by the human figure. For example, she made (baby) portraits and nudes, often depicted in bronze. Nuotio dedicates herself to making small plastics, but she has also realized monumental sculptures for both the public space and the private market. Like many 20th-century sculptors in her country, she works in a realistic style. Maija Nuotio is a member of the Association of Finnish Sculptors.
