The Russian artist Anatoli Zjezjer paints optimistic landscape scenes and floral still lifes in an impressionistic style. Idyllic representations of farmland and life, sweet scenes of children in a summer garden and cheerfully coloured flower still lifes are his specialty. He also paints winter scenes of the Russian countryside. His palette is usually colourful and exuberant, his brushwork smooth and accurate. Anatoli Zjezer was educated at the academy in Saint Petersburg.
