Norwegian painter of abstract, semi-cubist compositions, mostly depicting still lifes. She received a long, thorough education at the Eric Pope School of Arts in Boston (U.S.A) and then took lessons with the famous Norwegian painters Harriet Backer, Axel Revold, Onsager and Svarstad. She also worked with the post-cubist Leon Ardel. Under his influence, her style changed from naturalistic to a very personal cubism in bright colors. After 1950 she worked in Paris, then in Italy and Mallorca.
