biography of Coba Koster

Coba Koster's animal plastics are causing emotions because of the love and care with which they are made. The artist first models her animals in clay. The resulting form makes the work very personal: loosely kneaded, with refined detailing and the use of different colored patinas. The artist has a preference for portraying poultry, especially chickens, ducks and geese. It's not her intention to create an exact image of the animal.
