biography of Everardus Benedictus Gregorius Pagano Mirani

De Amsterdamse schilder E.B.G.P. Mirani behoorde tot de 19e-eeuwse kunstenaars die zich geheel toelegden op uitbeelding van het winterlandschap. Zijn voorkeur ging uit naar besneeuwde bosgezichten met hoge, kale eiken en daaraan sterk ondergeschikte figuren en gebouwen, geheel zoals de romantische traditie het wilde. De schilder nam tussen 1840 en 1880 deel aan de tentoonstellingen van Leven de Meesters en werd in 1850 lid van Arti et Amicitiae.
