biography of Ferdinand Bernhard Höppe

Painter of forest views, wide polder landscapes and river views. Höppe was a student of the Nijmegen painter G.A. van Merkesteijn and then from the academy in Düsseldorf. In 1877 he settled in The Hague. He often used the watercolor technique for his landscapes.
