The artist and monumental designer Frans de Boer Lichtveld lived and worked in Amsterdam, Baarlo and Slikiborg (Denmark). He was educated at the Quellinus School of Arts and Crafts in Amsterdam and later was taught by the sculptor Shinkichi Tajiri. Frans de Boer Lichtveld made sculptures from neon, laser light, aluminum, iron constructions and kinetic objects. From 1970 he works together with Marja de Boer Lichtveld as an artist duo on the same projects. Together they produced a large amount of assignments and free work.
