Jacqueline van der Laan is a Dutch sculptor. Although she also models people, her oeuvre consists mainly of animals. Van der Laan has a penchant for the manufacture of birds. From herons, swallows and godwits to owls, collared parakeets and various species of birds of prey, they are closely observed and realistically placed on pedestals in bronze with great attention to detail.
