The Belgian painter Jean Oosterlynck, born in Paris during the war, painted semi-abstract landscapes and still lifes with objects that he chose for their symbolic value. He can create a total atmosphere with a bird, a crescent moon, a few seagulls and a sail. His style, colourful and playful, is completely individual and unique. During his lifetime, Oosterlynck exhibited in Belgium and Paris at Galerie Roussard.
