The Belgian artist Jules Lentrein painted church interiors, navies and cityscapes. Lentrein was trained at the academy in Brussels. He later regularly exhibited his paintings and watercolors here, including at the 'Exposition de la Lithographie Belge Contemporaine' in the Koninklijke Bibliotheek in 1931. His work was published in 1918 in the albums of the artists' association 'L’Effort'.
