biography of Leendert Jonker

Leendert Jonker was a house painter by profession and probably self-taught as an artist. As a painter he specialized in depicting landscapes and marines, and sometimes exhibited his work at national exhibitions. Jonker lived in South Holland: he lived and worked in his birthplace Bodegraven, then in Leiderdorp, Rijswijk and The Hague.
