Little is known about the German sculptor Luise Scherf, also known as Luise Terletzki-Scherf. She mainly made animal sculptures, mostly small. She worked in bronze, but mostly made animals in porcelain, especially for the Porzellan-Manufaktur in Nymphenburg, to which she was associated from the 1920s. She was taught by sculptor Josef Wackerle (1880-1959).
