Little is known about René Rochard. He worked as a sculptor in France at the beginning of the last century and was a member of the Sociétaire du Salon des Artistes Français. Won a bronze medal in 1941. His oeuvre consists mainly of elegant, bronze animals in a style that is in line with the prevailing art deco at the time, and are often placed on a marble base.
