biography of Marie 'Rie' Cramer

Rie Cramer is best known as a writer and illustrator of children's books. She was a very skilled draftsman, who was able to hit the humor or idiosyncrasy of a situation with her pencil. She received her education at the academy in The Hague and was a student of Willem van Konijnenburg and Theo van Hoytema.
