Wil van Dinther painted and drew a wide range of subjects in a figurative-impressionist and expressionist style. His preference was landscape and cityscape, but he also devoted himself to figures and still lifes. Born in Oss in 1917, the artist first studied at the Academie Kunstuitoefening in Arnhem and enrolled at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam in 1943. After that he continued to live in the capital. Van Dinther also drew and painted during his many travels.
