Jeanne van Iersel was born in Helvoirt in 1947. Nowadays she works in Den Bosch. Although she has had an interest in art from a young age, Van Iersel only followed the training at the academy in Arendonk at a later age, where she specialized in drawing and graphic design. After years of drawing, the need arose to work three-dimensionally and she followed a ceramic techniques course in Gouda. Van Iersel then devoted herself entirely to the production of sculptures. Her oeuvre consists mainly of human, especially female, figures, in which the inner of man inspires her.
