biography of Adrianus Petrus Hendrikus Wilbers

A.P.H. Wilbers lived most of his life in The Hague. In his studio he painted not only romantic summer and winter landscapes, but also beach scenes with fishermen and ships. He found inspiration for this in nearby Scheveningen, where a painter such as Charles Leickert could also be found regularly. This theme would later become very popular with the painters of the Hague School.
