biography of Alexander Kircher

Alexander Kircher made a name for himself as a marine painter at a young age. Born in 1867 in the then important port city of Trieste, he moved to Berlin in 1880 to study at the academy there. Study trips through Europe, Asia and North America followed. Kircher mainly found his clients among the nobility, industrialists, owners of shipping companies and shipyards. Fascinated by the world of technology and machines, he painted in addition to ships - ocean liners, historic naval battles, battle and merchant ships all over the world - airplanes and the megalomaniac factory halls of the heavy German steel industry. He also worked as an illustrator for many magazines. Meer over deze brontekstBrontekst vereist voor aanvullende vertaalinformatie Feedback stu
