Annemarie Eilers was educated at the Rijksakademie in her native Amsterdam. After that, the artist lived and worked successively in this city and in Rome, Laren (N.H.) and Naarden. In 1955 she married the sculptor E.A.F.R. (Ek) van Zanten. Annemarie Eilers paints, watercolours, draws, etches and lithographs. Her choice of subjects is wide and includes landscapes, still lifes, figures, ships and portraits.
