biography of Hendrik Magdalenus 'Dick' Bruna

The artist and designer Dick Bruna became world famous with the stylized figure 'Miffy'. But his oeuvre encompasses more: he was also a graphic designer, draftsman and made designs for book covers and posters. From 1955 he was a writer and illustrator of children's books (Miffy series). In 2011, Dick Bruna donated part of his collection to the Rijksmuseum on long-term loan. The artist's work is rarely for sale.
