Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi has been painting the rich narrative tradition of her Aboriginal family from an early age. These stories, passed down from generation to generation, concern her grandmother's area around Mount Allan in Australia's Northern Territory. A rich area where, in her paintings, the women gather food, fetch water and meet each other. The work of Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi is in several museum collections in Australia as well as abroad.
