The German painter Georg Wagenführ, who became known mainly as a watercolourist, painted portraits, landscapes, cityscapes and industrial objects. A large part of his work was created during the many long journeys he made. He painted colourful street scenes in China, rural villages in North Africa and harbour views in France and Holland.
