biography of Konrad 'Gustav' Süs

The German painter, illustrator and writer Gustav Süs specialized in depicting animals and (landscape) genre scenes. He was educated at the academies in Kassel, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. During his career he provided numerous magazines, including self-published magazines, with his illustrations and writings. His animal paintings often have poultry as their subject.
