biography of Guy Hoff

Guy Hoff is among the American painters who also used their talent to design illustrations for books, magazines and newspapers during the so-called 'Golden Age of American Illustration'. This period in American visual culture peaked in the 1920s and 1930s and continued into the 1960s. With their clever and narrative illustrations, these painters became known and loved by their contributions to countless weekly magazines such as Life, Harper's, and Collier's. a big audience. Trained at the Art Student's League in New York, Hoff is known for his cover pages for The Saturday Evening Post, McCall's and Ladies Home, among others, which often star young, beautiful women.
