biography of Helena Maria van Borselen

Heleen van Borselen was born in The Hague and was the eldest daughter of Jan Willem van Borselen, a landscape painter who was immensely popular with the city's artistically-minded elite of the time. Later a skilled painter of portraits and still lifes of flowers and fruit, Heleen regularly showed her work at exhibitions between 1887 and 1896.
