biography of Hendrik Schaap

Hendrik Schaap is best known for his cityscapes of his hometown of Rotterdam. He lived and worked there from 1911 and painted in a smooth impressionist style the busy life of the Maas city with its large buildings, harbours and bridges, old streets and markets.
