biography of Henri Braakensiek

Painter with a very varied oeuvre. He drew and painted landscapes, cityscapes, figures from fashionable life, portraits and nudes. After his education at the Quellinus Kunstnijverheidsschool in Amsterdam, he traveled to Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland and received drawing lessons in Antwerp and Paris. His work is therefore not typically Dutch and shows influences from various international movements.
