The Belgian painter Jacques Geuens mainly painted landscapes, figures and (flower) still lifes in post-impressionist style. He was educated at the academy of Brussels and the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp. His style developed from a modest impressionism to a more expressive form language. Geuens was married to Marguerite Aers (1918-1995), a painter of impressionist landscapes, figure paintings, still lifes and cityscapes.
