biography of Jan Hendrik Willem Hoedt

Hague painter of summer and some winter views, student of the Academy in The Hague, and then of Andreas Schelfhout (1787-1870). Both in subject and composition, his work was strongly influenced by his famous teacher. He made several trips, including to Germany.
