biography of 'Johan' Cornelis Eliza Kuijpers

Student of his father, the landscape painter Cornelis Kuijpers, then of the Akademie in The Hague. Lived and worked in The Hague, Oostvoorne and after 1929 in Soest. Johan Kuijpers specialized in painting and drawing landscapes with farmers, animals and in general everything related to farm life (before mechanization). His animals and figures are reminiscent of those of Jan Mankes.
