The painter Johanna Machwirth married the painter Gerrit Haverkamp in 1907. She received her training at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague under the supervision of Fr. Jansen, and was then taught by Jan Voerman. Her subjects were figures, portraits and flowers.
