Leen Verhoeven was a specialist in drawing and painting flowers and plants, preferably in an exhausted state. Occasionally, a still life from his easel also appeared. He formed himself, was initially in the trade, but from 1914 a painter by profession. Leen Verhoeven lived and worked in Dordrecht and in Amsterdam and was a member of the 'Pictura' society in Dordrecht and of 'St. Lucas' and 'The Independents' in Amsterdam.
