biography of Leonard de Koningh

Pupil of A. Vermeulen and M. Versteegh. Departed for England in 1801 and after some time to Paris; then settled in Dordrecht for good. Initially he painted and drew calm and turbulent sea and river views with ships, but after 1813 he moved more and more to painting landscapes with cattle and figures.
