The impressionist painter P.E.A. Mansvelt Beck effortlessly painted landscapes, city and seascapes as well as flowers, figures, animals and portraits. He received a traditional education at the academies of The Hague and Rotterdam and worked all his life in a powerful impressionist style. He was also a sculptor.
