biography of Raffaele Ragione

Italian painter, born in Naples in 1851. In 1888 he left for Paris, where he caused a furore with colorful, smoothly-impressionistically painted depictions of strolling women, flower markets, gardens and parks. He also painted many children at play, especially in the Parisian Parc Monceau.
