The painter Rinus van den Bosch, born in The Hague in 1938, was one of the artists presented in the 1970s and 1980s by prominent Dutch galleries such as Galerie Delta in Rotterdam and the galleries D'Eendt and Asselijn in Amsterdam. Van den Bosch received his training at the Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (Academy of Visual Arts) in The Hague and from Willem Schrofer. He was a member of the Haagse Kunstkring and won the Jacob Maris material prize and in 1968 a travel grant from the Ministry of C.R.M.
