Valerio Demarchi, who works in Pieve di Soligo, Italy, is known for his female nudes in bronze. Self-taught, he started painting at the age of thirty, which did not give him the satisfaction he was looking for. He devoted himself to sculpting, a medium in which he said he could give shape to his dreams. Demarchi works on his smaller sculptures for about two months, his life-size sculptures can take up to a year. In total, he produced almost three hundred sculptures. From nymphs to venuses: for Demarchi, the female nude is the epitome of beauty.
