biography of Walter Miehe

Walter Miehe made his name in the first decades of the 20th century with colourful, smoothly painted scenes from the fashionable night and theater life of Berlin. He alternated performances of theater, cabaret, variety and ballet with still lifes, figures and portraits of well-known actors. Walter Miehe was born in Berlin in 1883 and was an apprentice of Arthur Kampf at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in this city.
