biography of Willem 'Wim' van Aken

Wim van Aken lived and worked in Amsterdam, later in Halfweg and the last 25 years of his life in Dreischor on Schouwen-Duiveland. Pupil of the Rijksnormaalschool in Amsterdam, of the Gooise Academy and of the Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague. Got lessons from Paul Citroen. Painted figuratively, portraits, still lifes and landscapes.
