The Danish sculptor Anker Hoffmann was mainly inspired by the human figure, especially the woman. He made many nudes in a realistic style, usually in bronze or stone. In addition, animals were also depicted by him. Hoffmann devoted himself to making small sculptures, but he also realized monumental sculptures and reliefs for public buildings, squares, parks and harbours.
