The renowned Flemish sculptor Willy Kreitz devoted his art to the glorification of the female figure. He created graceful nudes and portraits in a realistic style, in bronze, clay, wood and stone. His style is characterized by a strong simplification of the human figure, with a clean, refined, slightly Mannerist stylization and a precise finish. In addition to smaller sculptures, Kreitz also made busts of notables and monumental sculptures and also designed medals and commemorative medals. He was educated at the academy of Antwerp, where he would later teach himself. From 1933 Kreitz regularly took part in various Salons and numerous exhibitions at home and abroad
