Anna Lehmann received her painting training at the Academy of Art in The Hague (1903-1907). She would marry one of her teachers, the painter Cornelis Koppenol, in 1927. Until 1903 she worked a lot in Gorssel where she painted village views and landscapes on the IJssel. Later, she spent a lot of time in North Brabant and travelled to Belgium and France. She also paints and draws still lifes. Lehmann painted, drew and etched (Brabant) landscapes, (flower) still lifes and a single figure piece. She was a member of the painters' society Pulchri Studio in The Hague and often signed her paintings as Anna Koppenol-Lehmann.
