Anna Peters came from a well-known family of artists. Her father, Pieter Francis Peters, was a landscape painter and her sisters Pietronella and Ida made their names as painters. Anna herself was a celebrated floral painter at a young age. The way in which she arranged her flowers in a natural way in her compositions won admiration. The painter won numerous prizes with her work and worked in many European countries, including Italy, Holland and Switzerland.
