The sculptor and medalist Eric Claus lived and worked in Haarlem, then in Amsterdam, where he was educated at the Graphic School and then at the Rijksacademie. His images are figurative, with the human figure and sport as the main theme. Claus won a number of important prizes in the Netherlands with both his medals and his sculpture.
