Frida Holleman paints landscapes, interiors and portraits in a smooth impressionistic style. She received her education at the Hague Academy, after which she studied with Stanhope Forbes in England and with the genre painter Adrien Holy in Paris. Back in the Netherlands, she worked in The Hague for some time together with Toon Kelder, who had a major influence on her artistic development. In 1936 Frida Holleman left for the Dutch East Indies.
