Georg Curt Bauch was born in 1887 in Meissen (Germany) but grew up in Loschwitz. He was trained as a sculptor with the artist Robert Diez at the Dresden Art Academy before settling permanently in Switzerland in 1944. The artist mainly depicted male and female nudes and animal figures in figurative style. Greek mythology was an important source of inspiration for this. Museums include: Albertinum in Dresden.
